When I get asked “where do I even begin, when it comes to liking exercise?”
I start with empathy-
Understanding how and why were here…
And one (1) of those reasons is that we’ve been told that "external indicators are wiser than we are"
In this video, I tell a story about my daughter associating her green/red night light with HOW WELL SHE SLEPT.
Without her realizing (or me for that matter 🤦🏻‍♀️)
She was letting an external factor dictated the “worth” of her sleep.
She would say, “puppy was green, so I slept well”
I relate this to exercise bc so often we let things like smart phone and counters and sweat dripped off-
Indicate how “good” a workout was-
WITHOUT ever asking ourselves
So I encourage folks to BEGIN to allow themselves to take back a seat at the table.
Be a part of the conversation:
“How did that workout feel?”
