Shifting the Mindset- Exercise beyond the scale

The other day, I was walking with my kiddo (another adult) and 4 more kids.
-
We were encouraging them ALL to walk to an endpoint (the playground) but they kept stopping and playing with ice puddles and sticks.
-
“Let’s get goin” I would say…
And then, after about 5-10 minutes, I gave up, but in a wonderful way.
-
The playground is MY goal, I thought,
their goal is to be present. (If they even could verbalize that)
Who could find the biggest stick?
Who could capture the biggest broken ice block?
Who could hear the sound the ice makes when it cracks…
-
These were all part of their journey, whether they knew it or not.

-
Also, I hope your goals (if you currently have exercise or any others) are YOURS. And not your mothers, co workers or IG influencers.
-
I hope they reflect who you want to be 🩵

START: Breaking the rules.
I used to loathe writing until I made it my own. I think that my exploration with writing has a lot of parallels with healing your relationship with exercise.
