Movement WINS!
Hey Jamie, Natalia and I just did a short HIIT workout and then the Choreo dance #2 movin' and groovin'. We loved it! Especially the dance, it was so fun! It's the end of the 4th week of lockdown here in Sydney at the moment and moving was a great way to get out of my head and do something fun and enjoyable for a while. (i.e our movement win = mental health and coping in lockdown) Thanks for the great videos!

A win to share - I just surprised myself by noticing I have gotten stronger. I was doing one of the HIIT videos and there was an exercise that I would usually do half the time with weights and then put them down when it got too hard. I got to the end of the time and realised I'd done the whole thing with weights. I was so surprised!

Hey Jamie, got another movement win to share :)
I will preface this by saying that I love all the videos on the channel and working out with you. It's always my choice to work out and I know I will appreciate and enjoy it. But when I would hear people speaking about movement feeling good in their body I never really understood that. I work out because I know it's 'good for me' and I want to be strong and active as I get older.
My win is that I have recently noticed myself having the thought that movement will make my body feel physically good, in the here and now. I was feeling a bit stiff and uncomfortable and thought to myself I should do a video on the channel today, that will help me feel better. I can't remember ever having that real connection to movement actually feeling good and improving my experience of my body.
Thanks for all your choices on the channel, which mean that I can choose what my body needs in the moment. I am learning that a stretch video or 5 minute movement really can help me feel connected to my body and more able to move about the day easily. (Motion is lotion!!) Thank you!!!!

On the weekend I was planning to workout in the afternoon but after lunch I felt soooo tired. So I lay down in bed and had a nap, which left me no time to workout. As I was reflecting on it I thought to myself I was wanting to work out, but it's ok that I didn't because I listened to my body and I obviously needed the rest. And I thought Jamie would also be cheering me on for taking rest when I needed it. So thank you for your encouragement to rest - I love that the trainer voice in my head is yours and comes with the kindness and understanding that you bring to movement, rather than a harsh and harmful one.
WELL if this isn't the BEST movement WINS- I don't know what is! The increased self talk met with kindness and compassion _> not sure there is a proper way to measure it besides noticing that you are speaking MORE kindly to yourself in regards to movement and exercise/overall life. THIS PUMPS ME UPPPPP!

This week I went ice skating with some colleagues and our kids - after not ice skating for over 15 years my goal and hope was to get on the ice and not fall over - and I achieved it! Afterwards I was reflecting on what a win it was that I have balance and confidence to move and try new things with friends and my kids. Movement for more - for fun times with loved ones and enjoying activities together :)
